Mission Statement

Central Union Adult School’s Mission Statement:

The mission of Central Union Adult School is to promote lifelong learning. The Adult School’s program is dynamic in its offering of classes to the community. Since the needs, interests and desires of the adults are as varied as their abilities, attitudes and backgrounds, the Adult School curriculum and methodology are varied and flexible. The staff offers encouragement and assistance to each student in fulfilling his/her educational needs and endeavors.

To develop rigorous, standards-based performance activities and assessments which are in alignment with the District Academic Content Standards To integrate family, students, business and community, as "partners," key to the success of our educational program through mutual respect and training To implement student-centered, results- based and relevant course of study that will prepare students for the global, multi- cultural society of the 21st Century and target technology and bilingual skills  To create a safe and supportive learning environment which enables students to develop personal responsibility and empowerment to enhance student attendance To establish professional development opportunities which will provide on-going preparation for administrators, teachers and staff based on overall student
